Cross of Our Lady of Lourdes
In the year 1858, in a grotto in Lourdes (France), dressed in white, with a sky blue sash, and a golden rose on each foot, the Blessed Virgin appeared to a young woman named Saint Marie-Bernard Soubirous, known as Saint Bernadette.
Our Lady asked him to convey to the priests her desire to have a chapel there.
The Virgin Mary, announcing herself as the Immaculate Conception, asked her to wash herself in the nearby fountain and to pray for the salvation of sinners.
