In 1917, in Cova da Iria - Fátima - and as the Angel of Peace had announced the previous year, the Virgin Mary appeared, shining on top of a holm oak, to three children who were grazing their flock there.

   Lúcia, Francisco and Jacinta were blessed with the miracle of the Apparitions of Our Lady who, every month - between May and October - brought them Light and asked them to pray the rosary every day.
