Saint John the Apostle, the youngest of the twelve apostles, son of Zebedee and Mary Salome, and brother of James the Greater, was a fisherman. He was a follower of Jesus and considered the "beloved disciple", the one who leaned on the master's chest. Author of the "Gospel according to Saint John", he was a man with an extraordinary personality, thoughtful and introspective.
