St. Benedict of the Open Door Magnet

At the beginning of the 17th century, in the parish of Rio Caldo, a chapel was built, dedicated to Saint Benedict, to meet the needs of the faithful of that land and to allow the administration of the sacraments, since the nearest church was very far away and difficult to access.

The devotion and pilgrimage of believers to the church of Saint Benedict increased every year. Saint Benedict, born in Norcia in 480 AD, dedicated his life to God, performing miracles and prodigies.

He founded several monasteries under the motto "Ora et labora"
