St. Christopher Magnet
Saint Christopher, son of a pagan king of Canaan, and whose original name was Reprobus, was a Christian martyr, killed during the reign of Decius (Roman emperor of the 3rd century).
Reprobus grew up strong and robust and decided to dedicate himself to serving the strongest and bravest. After meeting a monk who converted him to Christ and baptized him, he decided to live by a river and help people cross.
One day, while helping a child who was becoming increasingly heavy cross the river, he felt that he was carrying the world on his shoulders. That child identified himself as Jesus, the Creator and Redeemer of the World, and recognized in Saint Christopher his humility and faith.
