Cross of Alexandrina of Balasar
Alexandrina Maria da Costa was born on March 30, 1904 in Balasar (Póvoa de Varzim).
Alexandrina showed her devotion to Jesus from an early age, and was very moved when she took communion for the first time.
Raised in humility, she grew up doing good, helping the poor and contemplating the nature around her. Bedridden after suffering paralysis following a fall while fleeing from evildoers who were trying to harm her, the young woman accepted God's will and came to terms with her limitations, offering her suffering for the salvation of sinners.
He died on October 13, 1955, in peace and with the full knowledge that Jesus had saved a place for him in Heaven.
